The United Democratic Movement (UDM) is aware that there are damning reports doing circulation in our media, about the involvement of the Honourable Premier, Mr David Mabuza of Mpumalanga Province, in awarding a tender to the tune of R230 million instead of R150 million to the investment company Sizwangendaba.

According to the reports, this happened during the Premier's reign as MEC for Agriculture in the Mpumalanga.

The UDM would therefore like the Honourable Premier to account for the following:

• The reason for the increase in the value by R80 million for this tender which according to reports was unbudgeted and unplanned for by the said department.
• Whether the tender processes were to the letter followed.
• Whether the state of affairs of Sizwangendaba was looked into since it is now failing to conduct its affairs as a proper business.
