On behalf of the United Democratic Movement Women's Organisation (UDEMWO), I would like to extend our heartfelt condolences to the family of our UDEMWO President, Mrs Zukiswa Hlekiso–Thabaneng, on the loss of her younger brother who was stabbed five times.

Our hearts go out to you during this time of sorrow. We know how difficult it is to look beyond the sorrow. However, may looking back in memory help comfort you in this time of grief.

Such an unnecessary loss of life forces one to question the effectiveness of the Government's crime fighting strategies. It is clear that no amount of war talk on the part of Government can help reduce crime.

The time for the development of a comprehensive crime fighting strategy is now!
