UDM Youth Gauteng meeting - statement by Mrs Thandi Nontenja (UDM Gauteng Provincial Secretary) (19 October 2009)

The UDM Youth Vanguard (UDMYV) in Gauteng held its Provincial Council at the weekend at the Braamfontein Civic Centre in Johannesburg. The leadership that will take the UDMYV in Gauteng through to its Provincial Congress in mid-2010 was elected at this Council.

These young leaders are quite clear on what they want and they are enthusiastic about their future. It was refreshing to listen to young South Africans engage in robust debate on issues affecting them, their future and the future of their Country.

The newly elected UDMYV Provincial Chairperson, Mr Fezile Mhlebi, made it clear that they are going to work hard to tackle the mammoth task of reviving the UDMYV structures in the Province and come up with programmes that will address youth related issues.

The newly elected leadership is:
Fezile Mhlebi
Deputy Chairperson:
Sipho Ndlela
Malibongwe Luyenge
Deputy Secretary:
Sibabalwe Nobongoza
Khanyisa Ncinjana
Nothemba Mbidlana
Additional Members:
Luzuko Kweba
Anda Zaku
Olwethu Papu
Sandiso Batala

With the kind of passion and enthusiasm displayed by our young people, the sky is the limit.
