The late Minister Matsepe-Casaburri will be missed in this period when senior officials are so heavily implicated in looting state resources, because we have never heard any accusation of wrongdoing on her part. May others follow her example in this regard.

To her family we would like to say that she played a good innings and there is no need to begrudge her for departing the field. Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this time of bereavement.

To the ANC this is a terrible loss because she was still playing an active role in many local and regional matters.
