ANC and NPA leadership are disgracing the Country statement by Mr Bantu Holomisa, MP (UDM President) (6 April 2009)

The NPA’s decision to drop charges against Jacob Zuma is a disgraceful act that will taint our democracy for many years to come. There is no doubt that the justice system is being raped by the NPA and ANC’s leadership. They are violating the basic principles of the rule of law.  We are supposed to presume innocence until it is proven in court, not presume innocence by staying out of court at all costs. What is happening now is a perversion of justice. The so-called conspiracy against Zuma is a flimsy excuse. South Africans know very well that the former President Thabo Mbeki never coerced or conspired Zuma into taking bribes from Shaik, nor did Mbeki coerce or conspire an arms dealer into making diary notes about an agreement to pay Zuma kickbacks in return for favours.

Both the ANC and the NPA are busy with a major cover-up. This is a scandal that will haunt this Country for generations.
