UDM manifesto launch in KwaMagoda, KwaZulu Natal statement by Mr Bantu Holomisa, MP (UDM President) (21 February 2009)

Today the United Democratic Movement held its Provincial Election Rally at KwaMagoda, in Richmond in KwaZulu Natal. Party leader Mr Bantu Holomisa also commemorated the life of late UDM Secretary General Sifiso Nkabinde, who was gunned down in this very area ten years ago.

Holomisa in his speech stressed the importance of Government having to do more for the people of South Africa, adding that job creation is vital. He stressed the importance of people choosing their own president and leaders as well as parliamentarians.

Finally Mr Holomisa added that the youth ought to identify its role in the Country and stressed the importance of entrepreneurship after matriculation as a means to fight and alleviate poverty amongst young people.

Mr Holomisa urged UDM supporters to go on with their door to door campaign.
