Condolences with the passing of Panki Sokweba; Chairperson of the UDM Youth Vanguard in Gauteng - media release by Provincial Deputy - Chairperson UDM Youth Vanguard, Gauteng
(18 January 2008)The United Democratic Movement (UDM) Youth Vanguard in Gauteng is saddened that Mr Panki Sokweba, our Provincial Chairperson, has passed away. We extend our heartfelt condolences to his family, friends and colleagues.
Panki, as he was affectionately known, was a passionate politician who was a core member of the UDM. He played a role in many organisations, in- and outside of the UDM, in the quest for the true liberation of our country.
And, as such, he was recognised and respected by the Party. We acknowledge his tremendous contribution in the formation of the UDM Youth Vanguard; for he had sacrificed and marched with fortitude in the face of the adversity.
We have lost a friend and a hard working leader whose sacrifices will continue to inspire the young people of our country.
May his soul rest in peace.
