THE STRANGE DISMISSAL OF ROBERT MARAWA BY SABC MEDIA STATEMENT ISSUED BY BANTU HOLOMISA, MP - UDM PRESIDENT (20 JUNE 2007)
We have seen the sketchy reasons for SABC firing Robert Marawa, who hosted the Sport Discovery Centre show which debated the PSL SABC/Supersport broadcasting matter.

There doesn't seem to have been any investigation or hearing; seems he was summarily dismissed via a directive from above. Since SABC is a public broadcaster it is interest of the public to know why a person was expelled. Such an enquiry would show what the nature of this employee's contract was with the SABC and what clause of that contract he had violated in order to be expelled like this. It would also show that he was not in breach of contract by doing work for both the SABC and Supersport.

It smells like sour grapes.

The SABC owes the public an explanation.
