Diko already raving like somebody lost in the political wilderness - media statement issued by UDM President (15 September 2005)
We hear that Mr Diko and his cabal have started a new political party, called the UIF apparently. This UIF-creature has no mandate from the voters and was prepared in secret, its membership stands at a staggering eight people. Clearly it is nothing but a vehicle for self-aggrandisement.

Apparently the sole policy of this so-called party is to attack the political parties from which it stole parliamentary seats. These are the rantings and ravings of people lost in the political wilderness. Mr Diko and his 8-person party will soon discover that establishing a real political party takes more than that.

We've seen how other parties started in the previous floor-crossing window simply evaporated a short time later. The thought of actually facing the electorate in a national election has obviously not occurred to them yet. When it does, we have no doubt they will use the next floor-crossing window to run to real political parties in order to avoid the voters.
