UDM reaction to Cape High Court judgement - media statement issued by UDM President (30 August 2005)In its sitting today the NEC resolved that the issue cannot be discussed until the typed judgement is available. There will therefore be a special NEC tomorrow to consider the judgement, in the hope that by that by that time we will have been furnished with the typed judgement. In the meanwhile we have asked our lawyers to provide us with a briefing and summary of the judgement at tomorrow’s meeting, and should the typed judgement not be available by 10h00 tomorrow the NEC has resolved to continue with its deliberations nonetheless.
