UDM WELCOMES OVERDUE RELEASE OF HIV/AIDS REPORT

STATEMENT ISSUED BY BANTU HOLOMISA, MP
UDM PRESIDENT

The UDM welcomes the long overdue release of the Medical Research Council's report on HIV/AIDS.

The UDM salutes the many South Africans who live with HIV/AIDS, and the many who are committed to finding solutions, in the face of ANC stupidity bordering on genocide. The UDM is disgusted by the government's delays and reluctance to release the Medical Research Council report about HIV/AIDS. This strategy was coupled with blatant attempts at discrediting facts, which do not fit with the President's confused agenda. It is obvious that government is out of touch with the realities in South Africa, as indicated by Gauteng's overcrowded mortuaries being forced to illegally pack up to three corpses into a drawer made for one body.

The UDM remains committed to applying every effort and resource, without any concession, to the prevention of, and the fight against, this pandemic, and  calls on all South Africans to unite in their fight against the challenges of HIV/AIDS despite government's self-inflicted incapacity.

The UDM urges the ANC government to acknowledge its incapacity in dealing with HIV/AIDS, and thus abandon its stubborn resistance and rather allow and assist committed persons and organisations to unite in their daily fight against HIV/AIDS.
