MEDIA RELEASE

MISGUIDED ATTEMPTS BY THE ANC

STATEMENT ISSUED BY MR CT FROLICK, MP
UDM SPOKESPERSON FOR TRADE AND INDUSTRY

The UDM views the march to the Cape Chamber of Commerce and Industry as a misguided attempt by the ANC Youth League.

It is ironic that the ANC Youth League has directed this march at big business, since unemployment is a direct result of the ruling ANC government 's inability to create a conducive atmosphere for economic growth and job creation. Big Business plays a vital role in job creation but it can only do so in partnership with government. Government should put its shoulder to the wheel and eradicate mismanagement and corruption.

The UDM calls upon the Ministers of Trade and Industry, Finance, Public Enterprises, Labour and Public Works to urgently implement serious and constructive plans to alleviate  social and economic poverty by starting South Africa on the road to prosperity and creating a healthy job market. We call on the ANC Youth to take their grievances where it belongs - March to the ANC headquarters.
