STATEMENT ISSUED BY MALIZOLE DIKO
UDM NATIONAL SPOKESPERSON
testimony by Mhlongo on the trial of the murder case of the late UDM Secretary
General Sifiso Nkabinde has left the UDM speechless.
The implication of Zweli Mkhize who is a senior member of in the KwaZulu Natal
government is viewed very seriously by the UDM. For him to be implicated and
still occupy such a senior post is unacceptable. We call for his immediate
suspension. The ANC also needs to tell us whether it also has a secret fund
similar to that of the former apartheid government which was used to assassinate
political opponents and if not where did this large sum of money come from. The
UDM leadership is surprised by these revelations and views them very seriously
because the ANC leadership were quick to comment and point fingers after
Nkabinde's brutal killing. Did they do this because they knew what was going on?
Steve Tshwete needs to explain to us, how much he knows about this killing.
The UDM leadership once again calls on its members in that part of the province
to be calm as they have been the truth is yet to be revealed. We want to know
who was behind the murder of Nkabinde.
Ragavaloo still needs to
tell us what his role was in the whole scenario.
The matter is sub judice and we have expected the ANC to wait for the
outcome before trying to discredit it in court. The ANC is the government and
has to show respect for such processes.
