ROLLING MASS ACTION ANC ALLIANCE COSATU

MEDIA RELEASE ISSUED BY UDM EASTERN CAPE PROVINCE
MR BILLY NEL, MPL

The UDM says the mass action planned for this week is totally irresponsible and defeats the object, for which it is supposed to achieve. COSATU should be more concerned about the small businessman who will have a loss of revenue and turnover in his business. It is exactly these small businesses that create confidence and make South Africa’s economy grow.

COSATU, which is an ANC affiliate in Government, should be rapped over the knuckles by leadership in Government and brought back in line and not allowed to make fools of themselves.

It is beyond the UDM ‘s comprehension how a mass action can create jobs, it would rather destroy jobs.

The UDM asks all its members to ignore the call from COSATU and expresses its sympathy with the private sector who will be most affected by the mass action. The time has come for organisations like COSATU to be well advised about the economy and job creation. It appears that they have no sympathy for the captains of industry and have a selfish self-centered agenda. We say this should be stopped immediately.
