BY BANTU HOLOMISA as UDM PRESIDENT
The UDM is shocked and dismayed by Judge Heath's withdrawal of action against
Dr. Zuma. His decision to yield to ANC pressure discredits his commission and renders him a toothless guard dog. This incident clearly indicates the lack of importance that our government places on fighting corruption. To expect one man to clean up such a corrupt structure is absurd, but the ANC evidently has no intention of allowing him to do so. Government ministers have hindered Judge Heath at every pass, and his commission is clearly outmatched. Such a government can not regain credibility until a more independent and effective system of monitoring and fighting corruption is implemented.
